The Outlline Of The Japan CTA Association

The Japan CTA Association was established in October of 1994 right after the permission for business was put in practice. With the commodity fund law as the base, the association along with the establishment of the self regulations, has been set up in means of cooperation of mutual problems and in aiming toward the sound development of the CTA business. Through this, the association has aimed for contributing toward the development of the economy as a voluntary group of CTAs. As of April 10th 2009, 8 companies are registered as a member of the association.

Structure Of The Members
The members of the JCA are made up of regular and supporting members.
Regular Member
A regular member, by the commodity fund law is a CTA with the qualification permitted from the competent government. The regular members are classified into I and II by the concluded contractor.
Regular member I
A joint stock company with a capital stock of 100 million yen and over, who will be able to solicit corporations and also commodity fund distributors. For the time being, they are prohibited to conclude a contract toward an individual investor.
Regular member II
A joint stock company with a capital stock of 10 million yen and over, who will be permitted to conclude a contract only toward a commodity fund distributor.
Supporting Member
A supporting member is a member who supports the aim of the Japan CTA Association and who tries to cooperate to that business.

The Main Tasks Of The Association
In order to achieve the founding purpose, the Japan CTA Association has taken into effect the below tasks.(1) The establishment of the self regulations.
(2) Research, collection and exchange of information regarding the CTA business.
(3)Cooperation and mutual communication with domestic and overseas related bodies.
(4) Settlement of requirements and demands toward related government offices, futures exchanges and organizations regarding the CTA business.
(5) Complaint management regarding the CTA business.
(6) Aside from the above tasks, anything that has to do with achieving the founding purpose.
