George took a deep breath, and felt the clean air cleansing his body. He felt so alive! Ever since that day, George would spend his weekend mornings at Bukit Timah Hill, never to feel stressed again. It is strange why man would create great metropolitan cities, when he feels most relaxed around nature.

George stared out over the rows upon rows of unmoving cars. He had been stuck in a traffic jam for such a long time he could feel his beard going. There were all sorts of shops around him. Boutiques where all the snobbish people go, stores with neon lights plastered to their walls that catered those with less discerning tastes, and stores with huge sale signs stuck on the inside of the wall for the family shoppers. Along the maze of streets all sorts of people were to be seen. Tall Caucasian men wearing ironed business suits with a cell phone in one hand, stylish young women carrying bags of the latest and most chic clothes, hordes of teenagers walking side by side, talking in loud voices, and obstructing everyonefs way. This was what a typical Saturday at Orchard Road was like.
All of a sudden, a young man driving a fancy sports car cut into Georgefs lane. Startled, George horned him, thinking bitterly to himself, that spoiled brat probably had his father buy the car.
Finally, he managed to pull into his office parking lot. George slowly walked to the elevator. The years were catching up on him. George sat down on his chair, groaning as he saw the work that needed to be done by today. George bowed his head and got to work.
After what seemed like an eternity of typing out list after list on his computer, George was finally free to go. Suddenly he remembered that he had a medical check-up. Reluctantly, he started to drive towards the doctorfs office. As the doctor examined George, George could see the worried look on his face. The doctor gravely said :hI am afraid your health is failing,h. Horrorstruck, George asked: g Then what should I do?h The doctor said: gI think it would be good for you to get some exercise and fresh air, I recommend you go to Bukit Timah Hill,h
Early the next morning,
George dragged himself out of his warm comfortable bed, and put on sweat clothes. He got into his car, and drove to Bukit Timah Hill. As George started to jog, he noticed his surroundings. Around him he saw trees with luscious leaves that prevented sunlight from passing through to the ground, creating a sanctuary, the roots of the trees were as thick as Georgefs arm. Up on one of the branches, he saw a squirrel, darting up and down, searching for food. Leaves of different trees littered the ground, some brown, some green. George could hear the soft singing of some faraway bird, praising the arrival of a new day. Hanging on a bush, George saw a beautiful intricately weaved spider web glistening in the sunlight.
